Dog Days Omnium Results.........

First off, I want to congratulate all of you for taking part in this year's Dog Days Omnium here in Chico!! You all did a tremendous job out there, and the attendance at the events was outstanding - have not seen that kind of turn-out at these events in quite some time. It was GREAT to see, and shows that Chico cycling is obviously alive and well! Thank you all!! Hope to see you at the Nutcracker Omnium in 9 days - for all of it, or maybe just a stage or two!

2008 Cohasset Downhill Time Trial......

Hi Everyone! So, we had another great turn-out today for Chico Velo's Cohasset Downhill Time Trial. In total, we had 33 riders out there this morning giving this very fast downhill a shot - thank you all for coming out to this one!! And, a HUGE thank you goes out to David Weathers, Rob Bishop and Gary Fowler for volunteering to help at the Start Line - without your help, this event definitely would not happen! So, thank you to the three of you!

We had some tremendously fast times out there today - including a new course record set for the Individual Men's division. Steve Vickery clocked a 5:34 out there to take the victory and the record! But the fastest time of the day went to a Tandem that included Mike Trowbridge & Janine Rood - their time today was 5:27.......and this was AFTER they had each ridden the TT individually! In the Women's division, it was also Janine Rood taking the victory with a time of 6:43 - great job out there Janine!!

This was the 3rd of 4 stages of the Dog Days Omnium - the final stage will be tomorrow at the Table Mountain Road Race.
