........got word last night that local rider/racer/stud, Steve Vickery, had an accident out on a training ride yesterday on his time trial bike. He went down and ended up breaking his collarbone and 4 ribs. Nasty ouch on that one. Hoping for a super speedy recovery Steve - let me know if you need anything. Total bummer.

Chico native who loves bicycling. I first joined Chico Velo Cycling Club back in 1980 at the ripe old age of 12. Begin racing Juniors(although back then they were called Intermediates) in 1981 and continued through 1988(1986-1988 I only raced mountain bikes). Then hung up the cycling cleats to party at Chico State(and get a few degrees too). Then raced again in the early 90s. Then got a desk job and got fat. Started riding seriously again in 1999 to lose weight and get in shape. Type I diabetic too - diagnosed when I was 4.
