Holy moly......I can't believe who I've been.....

......chatting with tonight. This guy use to live right here in Chico for awhile, but I never got a chance to ride with him, unfortunately. Since then, he has moved to Tucson. Who is it??? My favorite cycling author! The dude is just too cool - we've been chattin' online tonight and the guy is just extremely nice. I've read his books and I've got every Winning magazine issue with his articles in 'em(Winning was a bicycle racing magazine from the 1980s). And yeah, I collect cycling books of all kinds......but I still keep coming back to Maynard Hershon's work. I love it.

Anyway, he's on his way to this event and another event in Pomona. And hey, if you wanna put a bid on his bicycle frame, he's got one of 'em for sale on Ebay right now.

In short, I'm kinda star struck. The guy is awesome.
