Jack & Jill TEAM Time Trial - this Saturday, October 23rd!!!

It's back!! The 7th Annual Jack & Jill TEAM Time Trial will be taking place this Saturday, October 23rd - 9:00AM! This event was founded, developed and run exquisitely by our very own cycling legend, Charlie Geshekter - and it is back for its 7th year in 2010! Although Charlie is taking a quick break from the action for this event, we wanted to keep it going until he can run it again in 2011! The event goes like this: The TEAM must consist of one man, one woman, two bicycles. We will be following the normal River Road 10-mile Time Trial Course - 5 miles out, 5 miles back in, all flat. Registration will open at 8:15am where 5th Street turns into Chico River Road(look for me at the START location with the R.A.C.E.mobile and registration table - this is also the normal START area for the Thursday night River Road 10-mile Time Trials), while the first TEAM will be taking off at 9:01AM. As usual, we will go in 1-minute intervals. The turn-around will be marked and a course marshal will be present at the turn-around. Helmets are mandatory! The "official" TEAM finish time will be the 2nd rider to cross the finish line......so if you drop your partner, know that it is his or her time that we'll be taking for the finish.

The following Categories will be offered:

Under 60 years(combined ages. So, if you are 28 and your partner is 26....your combined ages = 54........thus, your team is in the Under 60 Category)

Age 61 to 79 years(combined ages)

Age 80 to 99 years(combined ages)

Age 100 and Over(combined ages)

Married Couples

The fastest team ever recorded at this event was the team of Kim Agur & Steve Vickery - setting the best time of 23:26 in 2008!
