Thursday, April 21st - River Road 16-Mile Time Trial - 6:00pm:
Registration opens at 5:40pm, with the first rider going off at 6:01pm. We will go in 1-minute intervals for this newer 8-miles out, 8-miles back, all-flat Time Trial. This Time Trial course was used for the first time last year and the riders really liked it - so, we're back at it again! Come on out after work and give this one a shot! Friday, April 22nd - Chico Airport Criterium - 6:00PM(As & Bs) & 7:00PM(Cs and Junior Races):
This event will be held at the Chico Airport Criterium course starting at 6:00pm(for As & Bs) and 7:00pm(for Category C and Kids race)! Registration will open at 5:40pm on Convair avenue at the Airport - with the first event starting promptly at 6:00pm. We'll be using our standard Tuesday/Friday Night Chico Airport Criterium course starting/finishing at Convair Avenue:

Category "A" riders will go for 50 Minutes PLUS 3 laps, while Category "B" riders will go for 45 Minutes PLUS 3 laps - Women's Category/Masters Category picked separately. The Category C and Juniors Race will go for 20 Minutes PLUS 3 laps, IF there is enough light outside to hold a race. Riders must sign in and wear a helmet in order to compete. Prime Points will count towards the 2011 Chico Airport Criterium Series!

Saturday, April 23rd - The Lomo-to-Jonesville Uphill Time Trial - 9:00AM:
This one will be held rain or shine, and is a Category 2 climb in this Series. The course starts in Lomo - which is the turn-off to Butte Meadows from Hwy. 32 - about 13 miles up the hill from Forest Ranch. There is a parking area across the street from the start location. The course goes up to the parking area in Jonesville. This is an amazingly beautiful ride - and you'll get in a good 20 miles of roundtrip riding - with awesome scenery! Registration will open at 8:30am at the Start location on Hwy. 32 - there is parking across the street in the parking area - with the first rider taking off at 9:01am.....and we will go in 1-minute intervals. Look for me and the R.A.C.E.mobile at the start area. The Lomo-to-Jonesville climb is considered a Category 2 climb in the Series, and climbs approximately 2,100 feet over 10.2 miles. Saturday, April 23rd - The "Kids ONLY" Humboldt Road Race - 1:00PM:
From the bottom of the climb up to the main Power Lines (it's about half-way up Humboldt = 2 miles up, 400 feet of total climbing!) - For the kids under the Age of 16 who have been showing up to the Chico Airport Criteriums - now's your chance to experience a ROAD RACE!! Well.....at least a little one!! Registration will open at the bottom of the hill (near the intersection of Humboldt Road & Stilson Canyon Road) at 12:40pm. The RACE will start at 1:00pm. This one is 2 miles long and climbs approximately 400 feet - so bring your climbing legs!! I will have water at the Start & Finish. We're going just up to the Power Lines - not all the way up to the top. MENTORS are STRONGLY encouraged to attend - to keep an eye on our riders, help them out and encourage them up the hill. I will also be there with the SAG Vehicle, if needed. ***One Note - If enough older kids show, we may do a race up to the top of Humboldt too, depending upon help & logistics. Sunday, April 24th - The Messilla Valley Circuit Race - 9:00AM:
This classic Circuit Race course is back for the month of April! Registration will open at 8:30AM at the top of the hill of Messilla Valley Road - just near the intersection with Pentz Road. The "A" Category will be starting their event at 9:00AM, and the "B" Category going at 9:02AM, and if there are enough riders, the Junior and Category C event will start at 9:03AM(Category C and Juniors Event will be 5-laps, totaling 17.5 miles and 1500 feet of total climbing). The number of laps for Category A & B will remain the same as last year - 10 laps for each Category. Women's & Masters Categories will be combined with the Category "B" race, but picked separately. If you drive, please park at Spring Valley School, which is only 1-mile away from the Start/Finish Line - or at Butte College and ride in. There's not much parking at the Start/Finish area. The Messilla Valley Course is approximately 3.5 miles in length with about 300+ feet of climbing per lap. 10 laps = 35 miles and 3,000+ feet of climbing. ALSO - There will be 2 King of the Mountains/Queen of the Mountains points/laps in this race - points count towards the 2011 Butte Road R.A.C.E. Series. I will have one water container at the Start/Finish Line, but water bottle hand-ups will be SOLELY dependent upon Volunteers - so if you have a volunteer, bring 'em with you! Monday, April 25th - The North Rim Trail Mountain Bike Race - 6:00pm:
Registration will open at 5:40pm for this 6:00pm mountain bike race that goes up North Rim Trail, down B-Trail to Middle Trail....and Middle Trail back to North Rim. Usually takes riders anywhere between 45 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes to complete the entire race. Start is right near the North Rim Trail parking lot....near the Easter Cross. This is a training event to get y'all ready for those upcoming mountain bike races - and, in particular, the Bidwell Bump taking place on August 27th, 2011!! Hope you can make it out to this one!
