***Yes, the Fast 50 IS going on tonight - Jeff Galland & Ethan Black will be riding a modified route of the 50, avoiding the flooded sections.

***Tomorrow night's Aguas Frias 10-Mile Time Trial WILL be postponed if there is too much rain/wind. But, don't worry - we'll have plenty more TTs coming! ;)

Sunday, March 27th - Chico Velo's Tour of the Unknown Valley - 7:00am to 9:00am start. - Rain or Shine


Wednesday, March 23rd - The FAST 50 - 6:00PM - The long-running "Fast 50" Wednesday night rides! The starting spot for this ride is in the parking lot of Rosedale Elementary School located at 100 Oak Street here in Chico. The ride leaves promptly at 6:00pm from the parking lot area. Many different levels of cyclists out there, so hook up with someone and enjoy the ride! A map of the course can be found here:

Thursday, March 24th - Aguas Frias 10-Mile Time Trial - 6:00PM - Registration opens at 5:40pm, with the first rider going off at 6:01pm. We will go in 1-minute intervals for this 5-miles out, 5-miles back, all-flat Time Trial. Come on out after work and give this one a shot! A map of this course can be found here:

The Start/Finish location of this event is on Aguas Frias Road - just south of Dayton 4-Corners - by the Stop Ahead Sign......look for me at the Start Area with a clipboard.

Friday, March 25th - Chico Airport Criterium - 6:00PM(As & Bs) & 7:00PM(Cs and Kids Races) -
This event will be held at the Chico Airport Criterium course starting at 6:00pm(for As & Bs) and 7:00pm(for Category C and Kids race)! Registration will open at 5:40pm on Convair avenue at the Airport - with the first event starting promptly at 6:00pm. We'll be using our standard Tuesday/Friday Night Chico Airport Criterium course starting/finishing at Convair Avenue:

Category "A" riders will go for 50 Minutes PLUS 3 laps, while Category "B" riders will go for 45 Minutes PLUS 3 laps - Women's Category/Masters Category picked separately. The Category C and Kids Only Race will go for 15 Minutes PLUS 3 laps, IF there is enough light outside to hold a race. Riders must sign in and wear a helmet in order to compete.
RAIN OR WET PAVEMENT WILL ALWAYS CANCEL THIS EVENT. Helmets are mandatory!!

Saturday, March 26th - The Lunt Road Uphill Time Trial - 9:00AM
- This one will be held rain or shine(snow & ice will postpone it though), and is a Category 3 climb in this Series. Registration will open at 8:30am, with the 1st rider taking off at 9:01am - and we will go in 1-minute intervals. The Lunt Road Uphill Time Trial course starts at Coal Canyon Road at Hwy. 70 - directly across the street from Wheelock Road. It climbs up Hwy. 70 - all the way to Lunt Road(the Lunt Road on the RIGHT - NOT on the left!). Make the right turn on to Lunt Road(will be marked with Route Arrows), and finish at the top of the short(but steep) Lunt Road climb. Look for me and the R.A.C.E.mobile at the start location at Coal Canyon Road & Hwy. 70. The Lunt Road Uphill Time Trial course is approximately 8.1 miles in length, climbs approximately 2,100 feet, and is considered a Category 3 Climb in the Series.
