6:00PM Thursday, May 21st - Meridian Road 10-Mile Time Trial (a new course!) - A NEW course to try out in the 10-Mile Time Trial Series. We'll be heading to Meridian Road, just north of Chico for this one. This is a straight 5-mile out, 5-mile back in Time Trial - the course has approximately 130 feet of total climbing....primarily on the way out. Registration will open at 5:40pm with the first rider going off at 6:01pm. We will be going in 1-Minute Intervals. You must sign in at the start! The Start/Finish Line is just past the left sweeper turn on Meridian Road......the turn-around is before you get to Lassen Road(this is the same section of Meridian used on the Paskenta Century). Riders will travel north for 5 miles, then back south for 5 miles. Friday, May 22nd - Cohasset Narrows Mini-Road Race: Registration will open at 5:45pm on Ryan Avenue on the north end of the airport - just to the west of the Fifth Sun parking lot(look for me on Ryan Avenue with the clipboard). Ride leaves at 6:00pm and will climb to just past the "Road Narrows" & "Share The Road" sign at the top of the "good" road - just go your own pace. The ride itself is only about 7 miles in length, but includes about 1,500 feet of climbing. I will be there with the sag vehicle if you run into a problem - and will be at the finish line to score you - I will have water too. This is a great little after-work ride to stretch the legs a bit for the weekend! Saturday, May 23rd - Going to Folsom Criterium - No R.A.C.E. Events today. Sorry.

Sunday, May 24th - Lomo to Jonesville Time Trial (starts at Hwy. 32 at entrance to Butte Meadows; ends at the snowmobile parking lot in Jonesville) - This is the FINAL event in the Butte Hill Climb Time Trial Series! This 10.2 mile course climbs approximately 2,000 feet - starting at Lomo and finishing at the parking lot up in Jonesville. And let me say this - it is amazingly beautiful up there!!! Registration will open at 8:30am at the corner of Hwy. 32 and the turn-off to Butte Meadows(look for me in the parking area across the Hwy.).......first rider will go off at 9:01am and we will go in 1-minute intervals. The trophy presentation is planned for later in the day - or possibly Monday night(since it's graduation weekend). Stay tuned for details. (FINAL EVENT in the Butte Hill Climb Time Trial Series!!)

Sunday, May 24th - Airport Short-course Criterium - We'll be using our standard Tuesday Night Airport Criterium Course for this event. Registration will open at 4:45pm for this one, with the Start at 5:00pm. A map of this course can be found here: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Chico-Airport-Tuesday-Night-Crit-Course . This event DOES count towards the 2009 Chico Airport Criterium Series. Expect lots of Point Primes!!!! This is a slightly shorter length Criterium than the Tuesday Night event. Category "A" will go for 50 Minutes PLUS 3. Category "B" will go for 45 Minutes PLUS 3 laps. HELMETS ARE MANDATORY! RAIN OR WET PAVEMENT WILL CANCEL THIS EVENT!! (Part of the 2009 Chico Airport Criterium Series!)
