4 R.A.C.E. Events this weekend!!!!

Friday, March 19th - Chico Airport Criterium - 6:00PM(As & Bs) & 7:00PM(Cs and Kids Races) - This event will be held at the Chico Airport Criterium course starting at 6:00pm(for As & Bs) and 7:00pm(for Category C and Kids race)! Registration will open at 5:40pm on Convair avenue at the Airport - with the first event starting promptly at 6:00pm. We'll be using our standard Tuesday Night Chico Airport Criterium course starting/finishing at Convair Avenue - . Category "A" riders will go for 50 Minutes PLUS 3 laps, while Category "B" riders will go for 45 Minutes PLUS 3 laps - Women's Category picked separately. The Category C and Kids Only Race will go for 20 Minutes PLUS 3 laps. Riders must sign in and wear a helmet in order to compete. RAIN OR WET PAVEMENT WILL CANCEL THIS EVENT. Saturday, March 20th - The Fruto 50 - 9:00AM - Attached is a flyer for the Willows Half Century(and other rides) taking place this Saturday, March 20th(the Fruto 50 included). The ride is a fundraiser for the Willows High School Band & Choir to support their music program. The rides take place at 9:00am, but registration opens at 7:30am at St. Monica's Catholic Church parking lot in Willows - 1129 West Wood Street. For more information, please contact Mat Amaro at For a map of the course(which includes "some" climbing, but not much - and also includes a couple of miles of dirt/gravel) can be found here: Althought this event IS a double-point event in the 2010 Chico Road R.A.C.E. Sunday, March 21st - Field of Dreams Time Trial - 9:00AM - A newer rolling course Time Trial! Registration will open at 8:30am at Spring Valley School on Pentz Road - the first rider will go off at 9:01am......and we will go in 1-Minute Intervals. This Time Trial is approximately 12.6 miles in length and includes some rolling terrain - for a total elevation gain of about 680 feet. The course itself is one big loop - so you'll have a chance to experience wind direction from a variety of locations!! The Start/Finish is at Spring Valley School on Pentz Road - you'll go to Hwy. 70 to Clark Road, take Clark Road to Durham Pentz Road, then Durham Pentz back to Pentz Road to the finish at the school.......all right-hand turns. Sunday, March 21st - 1:00PM - Low-Key North Rim Trail Mountain Bike Race - Registration will open at 12:45pm for this 1:00pm mountain bike race that goes up North Rim Trail, down B-Trail to Middle Trail....and Middle Trail back to North Rim. Usually takes riders anywhere between 45 minutes to 2 hours to complete the entire race. Start is right near the North Rim Trail parking lot....near the Easter Cross. No fee, but helmets are required. If trails are closed, we will cancel this event!
