Yesterday was one of those 3-nap days......
.......one of those days where you're so tired and worn out from the work week, it takes 3 naps in one day in order to get yourself back on track. And that was part of my day yesterday......a sorry day indeed.
However, in the afternoon, Lori absolutely positively wanted to go to one of our local bicycle shops to test ride some WSD bicycles(no, honestly - it was her idea!!). I went with her(obviously!), and while there, spotted this beauty in the picture above. Simple, easy, fun - single speed commuter bike.
We went out for an afternoon test ride - Lori on her Women Specific Design bicycle....me on this Redline 925 commuter. And let me tell you what - as if you didn't already know: Whenever you feel like you need a 3-nap day.....go for a ride! My friend Tom told me once that the best thing to do when you're sleepy - and it's during the day - is to get on your bike and spin around for a bit. Great advice - and it worked. And I kick myself for not doing it earlier in the day!!!
And on top of that, I now have yet another beautiful bicycle to lust after!!! Dang it!!
Of course, my wife Lori is now understanding what "bike lust" is all about......which makes me feel sort of satisfied in a weird kinda way.
