Results from Tonight's Chico Airport Criterium.................

Hi Everyone!! Well, we had a GREAT night out there at the Tuesday Night Airport Criterium, with good temperatures, little wind and some very good racing action! In all, we had 30 riders take part in this one - and quite a few spectators too!! Thank you ALL for coming out to this event - it was AWESOME having you all out there!!

Okay, in the Category "A" race tonight, we had 15 riders take part. The event started off quite quickly, with Tim Creswell driving the pace for the first few laps. Nearing the half-way point of the race, Alex Blease took off on a solo flyer.......but was soon joined by Kevin Speacht and David Albrecht. These three riders worked very well together, and quickly built up a 30-second lead over the chase pack. In time, the 3 breakaway riders lapped the field! After that, the pack stayed together for the sprint finish - where it was Alex Blease taking the win over David Albrecht, with Tim Creswell coming in 3rd!

In the Category "B" event, there were also 15 riders that took part. The pack stayed together the entire race - working well together, keeping things smooth and focused. After quite a few Prime laps in the event, it came down to a sprint finish at the end. Taking the win was Michael Dufresne, just beating out Mike Crumm, Shawn Hughes and Lisa Martens!

AIRPORT CRITERIUM SERIES INFORMATION:

After the great turn-out at last year's Tuesday Night Chico Airport Criterium Series, we're going to be doing them again for 2009......but starting up a bit earlier this year. For those curious, the definition of "Criterium" is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criterium

This Series starts up next Tuesday, March 10th and will go through September 15th, 2009......just before our Chico Downtown Criterium on September 20th! Registration normally starts at 5:40pm - with the event starting at 6:00pm.

How does it work???

Okay, here are a few notes for this year's Airport "Crit" Series:

1. We will be using more than 1 course for the Crits this year......including throwing in some lefty-turn Crits to get a feel for those - and some Weekend Criteriums as well. For the time being, we'll be using our standard Tuesday Night righty-turn course starting/finishing at Convair Avenue - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Chico-Airport-Tuesday-Night-Crit-Course

2. ALL riders must sign in this year - There will be a small table on the sidewalk at the Start/Finish location on Convair Avenue - just sign in at the table and you are good to go! Sign-ins start at 5:40pm - the racing action starts at 6:00pm. We usually end the event by 7pm, at the latest - many times earlier than that - to get home before it gets too dark outside. RAIN AND WET PAVEMENT WILL ALWAYS CANCEL THE CRITERIUMS! In addition, last year we had some tremendous smoke from the Humboldt Fire in this area......which, in turn, would also cancel the Criteriums due to hazardous air quality.

3. The Category "B" races normally go for 45 minutes PLUS 3 laps.........while the Category "A" races go for 50-60 minutes PLUS 3 laps. There can be anywhere from 1 to 15+ Primes in the Airport Criteriums......just depends on the mood of the Dictator.....er......I mean, Director. ;)

4. Helmets are MANDATORY! So, please....please.....wear your helmet! Please!!

5. All are welcome - you don't have to do the Series - just come on out and give this Criterium training/riding a shot! It's amazing what kind of workout you can get in during a 45 to 60 minute practice event.

6. Points are used to calculate the Overall Standings in the Series. The point breakdown is as follows: 7-5-4-3-2-1, with an additional 1 point being given to each participant at each event. So, 7 points goes to the winner, 5 points goes to 2nd place, 4 points goes to 3rd place and so on.........in addition to 1 more point just for doing the event. The rider with the MOST points at the end of the Series wins the Overall Title - and the Chico Airport Series Championship Trophy, plus whatever goodies we can give you. Also, Prime points will be given out during each of the Crits - these are just lap prizes......but in this case, the prizes are points. We will also be having some product Primes out there this year!

7. Last year, we had just two categories during the races - Category A and Category B. However, the Series itself has even more Trophy Categories, including:

Category "A" Men
Women's Category
Women's Masters 40+ Category
Category "B" Men
Men's Masters 40+ Category
Men's Masters 50+ Category

These are the Categories which all qualify for a Series Championship Trophy. If nobody - or very few folks are in one category - we may eliminate it and add an additional category where the numbers allow it. As usual, sandbaggers are strongly discouraged ( A Sandbagger would be a Category "A" rider entering a Category "B" event).

8. Although donations to put on these events are always very appreciated and accepted, this Series is FREE - so come on out and take advantage of some, or all, of these Criteriums in 2009!

9. Finally, remember - these Criterium events are essentially for practice and exercise - we have fun out there and get a great little workout in, and we get to work on some quality cycling skills. But, overall, they're no big whoop....no World Championship/Olympic medals or million dollar contracts on the line. So, with that in mind, just treat 'em as such - a good training event to try some new things, gain some good fitness.....and maybe even get into a "real" sanctioned Criterium at some point in time. Or not. Just have fun with it!! We'll have trophies and hopefully some prizes for the Series winners - and definitely loads of fun....and pain and suffering. ;) But remember - it's all in good fun!

Hope to see you out there!!

R.A.C.E. Events this week......................

Tuesday, March 31st - Tuesday Night Airport Criterium
Wednesday, April 1st - Fast 50
Thursday, April 2nd - River Road 10-Mile Time Trial (Race #1 in the 2009 Chico 10-Mile Time Trial Series)
Friday, April 3rd - Keefer Road Mini-Road Race
Saturday, April 4th - Messilla Valley Circuit Race
Sunday, April 5th - Coutelenc Time Trial (6th Event in the Butte Hill Climb Time Trial Series)

Okay, so there are a few little competitive cycling events going on this week around the Chico area, if you are interested:

Tuesday, March 31st - Tuesday Night Chico Airport Criterium Series - Registration normally opens at 5:40pm on Convair avenue at the Airport - with the event starting at 6:00pm. For the time being, we'll be using our standard Tuesday Night course starting/finishing at Convair Avenue - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Chico-Airport-Tuesday-Night-Crit-Course . Must sign in and wear a helmet in order to compete!!

Wednesday, April 1st - FAST 50 - The long-running "Fast 50" Wednesday night rides! The starting spot for this ride is in the parking lot of Rosedale Elementary School located at 100 Oak Street here in Chico. The ride leaves promptly at 6:00pm from the parking lot area. Many different levels of cyclists out there, so hook up with someone and enjoy the ride! A map of the course can be found here: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Fast-50255824

Thursday, April 2nd - River Road 10-Mile Time Trial - Registration opens at 5:40pm, with the first rider going off at 6:01pm. We will go in 1-minute intervals for this 5-miles out, 5-miles back, all-flat Time Trial. This classic Chico Time Trial course has been used for the last 29+ years. Come on out after work and give this one a shot! An extremely rough draft of this course can be found here - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/River-Road-10-Mile-TT-Course (yes, the course is really 10 miles, not 9.9). And if you look at the Elevation Profile......it might tell you why coming back always seems a bit tougher than going out! (Race #1 in the 2009 Chico 10-Mile Time Trial Series!)

Friday, April 3rd - Keefer Mini-Road Race - A NEW Mini-Road-Race for this year - thanks to Coach Mike Trowbridge for suggesting this one! Registration will open at 5:45pm on the bike path on the corner of Eaton Road & Cohasset Road......which is also the Starting Location.......but not the finishing location. This fairly flat course will take you west on Eaton Road, then north on Hicks Lane, east on Keefer Road(where you will hit the small climb), then back south on Cohasset Road - with the Finish Line on Ryan Avenue at the Chico Airport near Fifth Sun! The course is only 9 miles in length, and includes about 312 feet of climbing. This is meant as a little after-work leg burner to get you ready for the weekend - very low-key, so come on out and give it a shot! A map of the Keefer Mini-Road-Race can be found here: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Keefer-Mini-Road-Race .

Saturday, April 4th - Messilla Valley Circuit Race - The classic event from last year is back for the month of April! Registration will open at 8:30AM at the top of the hill of Messilla Valley Road - just near the intersection with Pentz Road. The "A" Category will be starting their event at 9:00AM, and the "B" Category going at 9:01AM. The number of laps will remain the same as last year - 10 laps for each Category. Again, sandbagging will not be allowed! (Sandbagging would be an "A" Cateogry rider racing the Category "B" race). If you drive, please park at Spring Valley School, which is only 1-mile away from the Start/Finish Line - or at Butte College and ride in. The Messilla Valley Course is approximately 3.5 miles in length with about 300+ feet of climbing per lap. 10 laps = 35 miles and 3,000+ feet of climbing. I will have one or two water containers at the Start/Finish Line, but water bottle hand-ups will be SOLELY dependent upon Volunteers - so if you have a volunteer, bring 'em with you! For a map of the course, please click on the link below: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Messilla-Valley-Circuit-Race HELMETS ARE MANDATORY!

Also, we will have some awesome prizes to give away at this particular Circuit Race for the top finishers!!! These prizes are being provided by TEAM CHICO and VOLER CYCLING APPAREL!!! Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in the Category "A" races(Men & Women), the Category "B" races(Men & Women), and the Masters 45+ Category(Men & Women). If nobody is competing in a particular category, we will award prizes to a different category. So, come on out to participate or to watch - or both! And remember - we're just out there to ride, train, have fun, get a little exercise - and get you out there on your bicycles!!

Sunday, April 5th - Coutelenc Time Trial - Event #6 in the Butte Hill Climb Time Trial Series is the Coutelenc Road Time Trial on Sunday, April 5th - another Category 2 climb in the Series. Registration will open at 8:30AM at the corner of The Skyway & Coutelenc Road - with the first rider going off at 9:01AM. We will go in 1-minute intervals. The Coutelenc Time Trial climb is approximately 6.8 miles in length and has roughly 1,590 feet of elevation gain. A map of this course can be found on Bikely.com here - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Coutelenc-Time-Trial . Also, Brad Foster and Foster Chiropractic Clinic - http://www.fosteringwellness.com/ - will be having some goodies for the riders at the finish of this next Time Trial! Come on out and give it a shot!
Want to get an extra 5 bonus points in the Butte Hill Climb Series?? Just volunteer to help me start the riders off at this event, and the points will be yours (Yes, I need a Starter for the Coutelenc event!).

THE OMNIUM INFORMATION - WE'LL BE DOING THIS ONE AGAIN IN APRIL 2009:

Stages of the March 2009 Omnium:

Tues., March 24th - Chico Airport Criterium - 1st Stage of the March Omnium (Rain or Wet Pavement will cancel this event).
Wed., March 25th - Fast 50 - 2nd Stage of the March Omnium
Thurs., March 26th - River Road 10-Mile TT - 3rd and Final Stage of the March Omnium

How does it work??? Okay, in this scenario, an Omnium(or Rodneyum) is just a stage race using points rather than time - and you do not have to complete one stage in order to do the next stage. You garner points for each stage depending upon how you did in the stage.......and, again, in this particular case.........the MOST points wins(many Omniums reverse this and have the least amount of points winning). There WILL be a Category "A" and Category "B" - you must tell me at the start of the Airport Criterium which Category you are entering.......and no downgrades during the Omnium once you're in. Categories may be combined, changed or eliminated if not enough folks come out. Most USCF rules will apply to ALL stages - including WEAR YOUR HELMET, don't ride too much like a lunatic, and so on and so forth. Please read the section carefully at the bottom of this e-mail for all the rules pertaining to the Omnium. The River Road 10-Mile Time Trial - aero equipment WILL be allowed! And remember - the only reasons we're doing this Omnium is for fun and fitness......and maybe a little competitiveness too, but nothing over-the-top please! Ride safe, have fun, try something new and challenge yourself. Anyone doing any of the stages is automatically entered in the Omnium..........but consistency in the events will be key to winning the Overall. The March Rodneyum Trophy will be awarded to the winner in each Category of the Omnium. There are 4 Trophies to be awarded in this Omnium(winners may be dependent upon category participation though).

The Point Breakdown for EACH stage:

Tuesday, March 24th - Chico Airport Criterium:
(YES - Prime Points DO count towards the Omnium!!)
1st = 24 points (NOT to be added to the season-long point standings in the Criterium Series....those points are separate from the Omnium)
2nd = 20 points
3rd = 18 points
4th = 16 points
5th = 14 points
6th = 12 points
7th = 10 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 6 points
10th = 4 points
11th = 2 points
Everyone else = 1 point

Wednesday, March 25th - Fast 50:
(Elk Avenue Sprint, Fimple Avenue Sprint and Duncan Avenue Sprint EACH count as 3,2,1 - 3 points for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd)
(These 3 Intermediate Sprints count for Category "A" only!)
1st = 24 points
2nd = 20 points
3rd = 18 points
4th = 16 points
5th = 14 points
6th = 12 points
7th = 10 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 6 points
10th = 4 points
11th = 2 points
Everyone else = 1 point

Thursday, March 26th - River Road 10-Mile Time Trial:
(Yes, Aero equipment will be allowed for this event).
1st = 24 points
2nd = 20 points
3rd = 18 points
4th = 16 points
5th = 14 points
6th = 12 points
7th = 10 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 6 points
10th = 4 points
11th = 2 points
Everyone else = 1 point

RULES:
And Finally - ANY rider participating in ALL 3 Stages receives an additional 10 points.
Do you have to do all the stages in order to compete in the Omnium?? No - you can even do just one event and your points will still be calculated and counted in the overall. And REMEMBER - Safety come before bragging rights, so be careful!!!
As always, the Director reserves the right to DQ anyone deemed cheating, unsafe or unsportsmanlike(no worries - just be cool like always and all will be good!!).
Tie-Breaker - If, by chance, it comes down to a TIE after the last stage of the Omnium, the highest placed finisher(of the tied competitors) in the River Road 10-Mile Time Trial will be declared the Overall Winner of the Rodneyum.

Couple notes about Saturday Morning's Airport Criterium...............

Okay, so there a couple of things slightly different about the Chico Airport Criterium this Saturday morning.

First off, we are starting earlier in the day - in fact, racing action starts at 8:00AM. I know that some folks did not really like that starting time, but I had no choice - I have to work the rest of the day and evening to get things ready for the Tour of the Unknown Valley North bicycle ride taking place on Sunday out of Orland, CA.......so this was the only time I could hold the Criterium. I am sorry.

Second, for both the "A" Group and "B" Group, there will be NO chase pack Primes at all. What does that mean?? What that means is that if a break forms and gets away, they'll be the riders vying for the Primes. OR - if the pack stays together the whole race, the whole pack can sprint it out for the Primes. However, due to the nonsense I created from this last Tuesday Night Airport Criterium, I'm going to be offering bunches of Point Primes to breakaways........or not, if there are no breaks. You get the idea.

Anyway, that's it - I hope to see some or all of ya out there!!

Saturday, March 28th - Early Saturday Morning Chico Airport Criterium - Registration will open at 7:40AM on Convair avenue at the Airport - with the event starting at 8:00AM. (Sorry it is so early - I gotta get things rolling for tomorrow's Tour of the Unknown Valley North on Saturday, so 8AM was the only time I could do it. Sorry about that.) We'll be using our standard Tuesday Night course starting/finishing at Convair Avenue - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Chico-Airport-Tuesday-Night-Crit-Course . Must sign in and wear a helmet in order to compete!! AND - Yes, the points in this Criterium ALSO count towards the Tuesday Night Airport Crit Series.

Thurs., Fri., Weekend events!..................

A few more little events this week!

Thursday, March 26th - River Road 10-Mile Time Trial - Registration opens at 5:40pm, with the first rider going off at 6:01pm. (Final Stage of the March Rodneyum!)

Friday, March 27th - Cohasset Narrows Mini-Road Race - Registration will open at 5:45pm on Ryan Avenue on the north end of the airport - just to the west of the Fifth Sun parking lot(look for me on Ryan Avenue with the clipboard). Ride leaves at 6:00pm and will climb to just past the "Road Narrows" & "Share The Road" sign at the top of the "good" road - just go your own pace. The ride itself is only about 7 miles in length, but includes about 1,500 feet of climbing. I will be there with the sag vehicle if you run into a problem - and will be at the finish line to score you - will have water too. This is a great little after-work ride to stretch the legs a bit for the weekend! An approximate map of the course can be found here: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Friday-Night-Cohasset-Uphill-Race

Sunday, March 29th - Chico Velo's Tour of the Unknown Valley North - Please visit http://www.chicovelo.org/unknownvalleynorth.html for more information on this great 72-Mile ride taking place out of Orland, CA!!

Tonight's Airport Criterium Results................

Hi Everyone!! So, we had a great turn-out tonight for the Tuesday Night Airport Criterium - which was also the 1st Stage of this week's March Omnium("Rodneyum"). 30 riders came out to take part in this evening's event, and we had some GREAT racing action out there tonight! I would like to thank ALL of you for coming out to give this one a shot - it was fantastic seeing so many riders out there. And a special thank you to all of the spectators this time around - haven't seen that many folks out there in quite some time, so that was great to see!!! Thank you all!!

The "A" Category tonight saw a 2-person breakaway take off fairly early in the race - and these 2 riders ended up staying out in front all the way to the end. At the finish, it was David Albrecht taking the win over Jeff Galland......with Mike Cordova winning the pack sprint finish over Michael Jasinski and Anthony Ferretti!

The "B" Category saw an early 2-person breakaway take off - Michael Dufresne and Brian Strukan. But, with the pack working smoothly together, they were able to reel them in about half-way through the race. From there on out, the pack had "sprint finish" written all over it! And, we weren't disappointed - it was Matt Itamura just squeaking by Michael Dufresne, Denny McKenney, Brian Strukan and Mike Crumm at the finish! VERY close finish.

For some videos of tonight's finishing sprints, please visit:

Messilla Valley Circuit Race - April 4th...................

Hi Everyone! Okay, I have been receiving quite a few questions lately about the next Messilla Valley Circuit Race........so, yes, the next one is on Saturday, April 4th!!

Again, there is NO entry fee to participate in this Circuit Race. However, donations are always very welcome - but most definitely not mandatory or expected!!

The announcement for the race is listed below.

Okay, here is the race announcement:

We will be having the Messilla Valley Circuit Race on Saturday, April 4th - at 9:00am. Registration will open at 8:30AM at the top of the hill of Messilla Valley Road - just near the intersection with Pentz Road. The "A" Category will be starting their event at 9:00AM, and the "B" Category going at 9:01AM. The number of laps will remain the same as last year - 10 laps for each Category(sorry - I know, I'm the devil!). Again, sandbagging will not be allowed! (Sandbagging would be an "A" Cateogry rider racing the Category "B" race).The Messilla Valley Course is approximately 3.5 miles in length with about 300+feet of climbing per lap. 10 laps = 35 miles and 3,000+ feet of climbing. We willhave one or two water containers at the Start/Finish Line.

For a map of the course, please click on the link below:

http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Messilla-Valley-Circuit-Race

Again, most United States Cycling Federation rules apply to these races - you know, WEAR YOUR HELMET, don't ride like a nutcase, and all that good stuff. A mention about Tri Bars - You can have Tri Bars on your bicycle - BUT, you must NOT use them if you are in a pack or paceline! Normally, in a USCF race, you would not be allowed to have them on your bicycle - but I know many of us like them on our bicycles and use them for training. This isn't the World Championships - we do these Circuit Races for fun, fitness and practice - but please be very very reluctant in using the Tri Bars in a pack/paceline situation.For those of you driving to the course, Spring Valley School is approximately1-mile from the Start/Finish.......or you can park at Butte College and ride tothe start(great warm-up and cool-down, with a store along the way). Parking onthe course is strongly discouraged.

Helmets are mandatory!!

Water bottle hand-ups will be solely dependent on volunteers, BUT I will be bringing a small ice chest with some water bottles again(ice water only).
Hope to see you out there!!

Yes, the Omnium starts tonight...............

Yes, the Omnium starts tonight!

Hi Everyone! So, last year, our local climbing ace - Mark Bloom - was talking to me about the local "Omnium" races we had going on in August and September. There are different names for each of these Omniums(Nutcracker Omnium, Rumpstomper Omnium, Dog Days Omnium, etc.......and yes, they'll be happening again this summer). But Mark came up with a pretty silly name for these Omniums - he called them "Rodneyums". I busted up laughing when he said it! So, for lack of a better name at this point in time, the 1st "Rodneyum" will be taking place next week - March 24th through March 26th!

Stages of the March 2009 Omnium:

Tues., March 24th - Chico Airport Criterium - 1st Stage of the March Omnium(Rain or Wet Pavement will cancel this event).

2nd = 20 points
3rd = 18 points
4th = 16 points
5th = 14 points
6th = 12 points
7th = 10 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 6 points
10th = 4 points
11th = 2 points

1st = 24 points
2nd = 20 points
3rd = 18 points
4th = 16 points
5th = 14 points
6th = 12 points
7th = 10 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 6 points
10th = 4 points
11th = 2 points
Everyone else = 1 point

Thursday, March 26th - River Road 10-Mile Time Trial:
(Yes, Aero equipment will be allowed for this event).
1st = 24 points
2nd = 20 points
3rd = 18 points
4th = 16 points
5th = 14 points
6th = 12 points
7th = 10 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 6 points
10th = 4 points
11th = 2 points

R.A.C.E. Events for the week of March 23-29th.............

Okay, so there are a few little competitive cycling events going on this week around Chico, if you are interested:

Tuesday, March 24th - Tuesday Night Chico Airport Criterium Series - Registration normally starts at 5:40pm on Convair avenue at the Airport - with the event starting at 6:00pm. For the time being, we'll be using our standard Tuesday Night course starting/finishing at Convair Avenue - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Chico-Airport-Tuesday-Night-Crit-Course . Must sign in and wear a helmet in order to compete!! (1st Stage of the March Rodneyum!)

Wednesday, March 25th - FAST 50 - The long-running "Fast 50" Wednesday night rides! The starting spot for this ride is in the parking lot of Rosedale Elementary School located at 100 Oak Street here in Chico. The ride leaves promptly at 6:00pm from the parking lot area. Many different levels of cyclists out there, so hook up with someone and enjoy the ride! A map of the course can be found here: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Fast-50255824 (2nd Stage of the March Rodneyum!)

Thursday, March 26th - River Road 10-Mile Time Trial - Registration opens at 5:40pm, with the first rider going off at 6:01pm.

Sunday, March 29th - Chico Velo's Tour of the Unknown Valley North - Please visit http://www.chicovelo.org/unknownvalleynorth.html for more information on this great 72-Mile ride taking place out of Orland, CA!!

Aguas Frias Road 10-Mile Time Trial Results..........

Hi Everyone! OH, what an amazing day for a ride!! Great conditions out there today. And with that, we had 5 folks show up to do the 1st Aguas Frias 10-Mile Time Trial of the year tonight too - thank you guys for coming out to this one! We'll be doing these again out on Aguas Frias Road as the weeks go by - and look for the Aguas Frias 25-Mile Time Trials on the calendar for April & May.

And tomorrow evening is a little Humboldt Road action!:

Friday, March 20th - Humboldt Road Mini-Road Race - Registration will open at 5:45pm on Humboldt Road - just past Stilson Canyon Road - here in Chico. The Start will be at 6:00pm. You will go up to the top of Humboldt Road, up Hwy. 32 and finish at the 1st hill past Humboldt(there is a Deer Sign near the finish line). This is meant as an after-work little jam up one of our classic local climbs - just to get the legs warmed up for the weekend riding! Short, but sweet - and just go your own pace - no big whoop. I will be out there with a SAG vehicle, and water at the Start and Finish. Hope to see you out at this one!! Thursday, March 19th - Aguas Frias 10-Mile Time Trial - The 1st one of the 2009 season! Registration opens at 5:40pm, with the first rider going off at 6:01pm. We will go in 1-minute intervals for this 5-miles out, 5-miles back, all-flat Time Trial. Come on out after work and give this one a shot! A map of this course can be found here - http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Aguas-Frias-10-Mile-Time-Trial The Start/Finish location of this event is on Aguas Frias Road - just south of Dayton 4-Corners - by the Stop Ahead Sign......look for me at the Start Area with a clipboard.

Friday, March 20th - Humboldt Road Mini-Road Race - Registration will open at 5:45pm on Humboldt Road - just past Stilson Canyon Road - here in Chico. The Start will be at 6:00pm. This "mini" Road Race will travel just 4.3 miles up the hill, and climb approximately 940 feet.
